What are the minimum requirements to use the Omply app?
Short answer
To use Omply you need a reasonably recent smartphone, an internet connection, and Bluetooth turned on (Bluetooth is what lets the diagnostic devices talk to the app). The minimum requirements for each platform are below.
The Omply app is available in the App Store and Google Play. If you have trouble installing it once it's available, see I can't download the app.

A stable connection is recommended for smooth video during your appointment.
Why these are needed
- A supported operating system keeps the app secure and working correctly. If your phone is older than the versions above, the app may not install or run.
- Internet access is needed for the video appointment and to send your measurements to the doctor in real time. You can use Wi‑Fi or mobile data — you don't need a SIM card if you're on Wi‑Fi; see Do I need a SIM card with my phone to use Omply?.
- Bluetooth is how the diagnostic devices pair with the app. Turn it on before your appointment — see Does the phone need to have Bluetooth turned on?. If a device won't pair, see My device won't connect. How can I fix it?.
How to check your phone
- iPhone: Settings → General → About → Software Version. To update: Settings → General → Software Update.
- Android: Settings → About phone → Android version. To update: Settings → System → System update (wording varies by manufacturer).
If your phone can't be updated to the minimum version, you may need a newer device to use Omply.
